Missions

UPDATE:

waisner

On the weekend of July 28th & 29th we had the privilege as a church to hear from Missionary Terry Waisner.  That day he not only inspired us to do more here in our sphere of influence, but also made us aware of a need for a roof at the Chiang Rai Children’s Home in Thailand.  Just this week we received word back from him that they were able to repair the roof!  Thank you so much for your generosity! We know that this will be just one of the amazing things God will do through us as we continue to be led by His spirit to advance the gospel around the world!

 Our Missionaries

Dick Brogden and Family

Dick and Jennifer Brogden and family are missionaries in different parts of the world.  They have received the necessary  approval to head back overseas and are finishing up with school, speaking opportunities, and packing.  The Brodgens leave in July for Kenya where they will hand over the Team Leader Overseer role for East Africa to colleagues before heading to Cairo in September.  Please keep the Brogden family in prayer!

Ben and Alyssa Korinek

Imagine 50 – 70% of all students raised in Christian homes abandoning their faith as they enter life after High School.  These statistics are startling, but true.  Chi Alpha is a college ministry devoted to discipling collegians to an authentic relationship with Jesus Christ.  In December 2010, Ben and Alyssa Korinek became Missionary Associates with “Converge” on the UW Oshkosh campus.  Their vision is to raise up young men and women in their faith in Christ, preparing them to be the next leaders in any given profession to which the Lord calls them.  Please keep the Korineks in your prayers as they seek to reach young adults for Jesus Christ!

Joe Gordon and Family

Joe and Laurie Gordon and their family are full-time missionaries supported by Pathways Church.  Please pray for new believers: that they have the opportunity to be discipled, learn about God, and gain strength in their new faith as they will certainly face opposition in their communities.

Brent And Renea Liebe

Brent and Renea Liebe have been serving in Bucharest, Romania, since May, 2010.  Their heart is to work with young men as they exit rehab centers and orphanages by helping them develop job and life skills.

Ginny Tripp

Birthed from a Christian coffee shop is a church that now meets every Sunday afternoon, coupled with small-group Bible studies meeting in several districts in Saigon.  God is making it possible to move beyond Saigon to other cities in the Delta as well!  Ginny and her team are reaching out to street kids and doing food outreach at a cancer hospital. Now established are homes for unwed mothers who have had their lives totally transformed by the love of Christ.  In addition, the team is working in orphanages spreading the Good News. It is harvest time in Vietnam and God is moving on so many hungry hearts!  Pray for more to hear the call to Vietnam!

Michael and Heather Chowning

Imagine a region 30% larger than the US, the coldest place on the planet, and the most frozen to the gospel of Jesus Christ. In 2006, Michael Chowning began to put his focus on reaching the unreachable with a campaign called “Breaking the Ice.” Michael and Heather have now planted over 500 churches, and as we learned from Michael’s recent visit, over 100,000  Siberian people have committed their lives to Christ.  After Michael’s amazing testimony, Pathways Church responded to God’s call and raised over $7,000 to begin planting a church on the other side of the world!

Catalin and Oltita Baciu

Catalin and Oltita Baciu, are Directors of Teen Challenge in Bucharest, Romania. Pray for them as they minister to the many people who live in the streets and are addicted to drugs, as they open the doors of hope in Jesus to them.

Dan Herod and Family

Dan Herod is the Youth Alive director for Wisconsin and Upper Michigan. His ministry reaches out to the youth of the midwest through school assemblies and other events hosted at local schools. Dan and his team also build God’s Kingdom through inspiring, equipping, and leading students to become campus missionaries to their schools. Pray that God would continue to expand his ministry to the youth of Wisconsin and Upper Michigan.
